Guinea-Bissau President Malam Bacai Sanhá mixed his Government to keep his Prime Minister on Saturday, but moving the heads of nine ministries of the country according to a decree of the President.
Opposition parties had several rallies in recent weeks calling for Sanhá sack Prime Minister Carlos Gomes Junior, but seems that the President is anxious to extend a run of relative stability after years of chaos in the tiny west African State.
New Government include Baciro Dja, that long as Secretary of Defense, the prickly issue of the reform an army with a history of interference in the politics and recently to monitor involvement in the cocaine trade.
Helena Nosolini Embalo remains Economics Minister.
Gomes Junior has been in Office for three years, for the former Portuguese colony, which has experienced little, but in conflict and coups since independence.
The country saw its President and head of the army murdered in 2009, and last year accused a revolt in the military put groups of working with Latin America drug cartels in free of charge.
