BIMSTEC members can sign of understanding a memorandum about trans power exchange among them in the latter part of the year 2012.

Possibility the MoU signing after a two-day meeting of the BIMSTEC task force on trans power exchange in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Before the signing of the MOU, he said a further meeting of the task force will complete it and the Member States will ratify it in the first part of the year 2012.
Expert and technical people from the Member States of BIMSTEC attended the two-day meet.
The BIMSTEC (Gulf of Bengal Initiative for multi-sectoral technical)
(and economic cooperation) a sub-regional group is founded in 1997 in to economic cooperation in various fields, including power and energy to improve.
The BIMSTEC members are Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan.
The BIMSTEC' first Summit was held in Thailand in 2004 and was the first ministerial meeting in New Delhi in 2005.
The ministerial meeting decided to implement a task force, to make the concept of trans electricity exchange and interconnectivity of electricity between Member States.
Member States shall be before the signing of the MOU, their would develop respective makes system-master plan for discussion and mechanisms, such as to a current establish interconnectivity and grid system in the region, Alamgir Kabir said.
He also said that the question of the import, export and transit fee, customs, taxes or charges Government to each other would agreed in the MOU in the manufacture of BIMSTEC grid array.
